Honestly, I don't get why people are so butthurt about the dunking stats, anyway. Dude has made 104 total dunks in his entire NBA career. In 2011, his MVP season, he had the most dunks in any single season of his career with 32 at a rate of 0.020% of all field goals attempted being dunk attempts. He has played a total of 546 games as a pro. That's 1 dunk every 5.25 games. Compare that to Russell Westbrook, another point guard with the same type of explosiveness and size who has a career rate of 0.041% of field goal attempts being dunk attempts and a season low of 0.29%. Derrick's floater and layup package was much more prolific than his dunk package, which is why he can still be so effective today even after blowing out his ligaments repeatedly. Derrick is deadly because he doesn't have to dunk to score in the paint.

Before you bash him for the dunking stats take a moment to appreciate the fact that a bulls Derrick rose card has a godly three pointer and still has the great animations and tendencies of a normal bulls rose. This card might be the best 6’3 pure point in the game with the exception to baron since he has limitless

Pretty certain this is based off the 2015 playoffs, when he hit that game winner vs the Cavs, where he wasn’t dunking as much. Also, they’re gonna release the cover vote edition for rose, so don’t worry.

It's to be expected that they would do this. They had to find a way to differentiate this derrick rose to the one coming out in the next anniversary packs. If they had made his driving dunk really high there wouldn't really be an incentive to open the anniversary packs for him, so it's just a marketing ploy by 2k to make us spend more on packs.
